CARROLL GARDENS — How do you say "woof" in French?

By Brooklyn, a Smith Street fine goods shop, is hosting a "French Bulldog Party," July 13 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., in celebration of Bastille Day in Carroll Gardens.

Gaia DiLoreto organized the first party, last year, when she realized that several French bulldogs lived in the neighborhood, she said.

"How many businesses are having a dog party?" said DiLoreto, hoping to do something different in the community.

Held at the shop's spacious backyard, located at 261 Smith St., the doggy party will serve snacks and summer cocktails made with Bulldog gin for the human guests and milk bones for the pups.

The doggy party, which raised about $400 last year, will donate net proceeds to Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue, a network of fosters and volunteers that rescue dogs from high kill, rural shelters in the southern states.

Tickets are priced at $10 with a dog and $15 for those without dogs.

And if you don't have a French bulldog, you and your pooch will still be welcomed, said DiLoreto.

"We allow imposters," she said.
