NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers looking to eat at the city’s top restaurants for discounted prices are in luck: Reservations for this summer's NYC Restaurant Week opened Monday.

The food celebration, entering its 21st year this summer, runs from July 22 to Aug. 16, Monday through Friday (Sunday is optional). Diners will be able to eat at 300 restaurants for $25 three-course prix-fixe lunches and $38 three-course prix-fixe dinners.

“Participating restaurants get to showcase their fare to a new audience, and diners get to enjoy a new dining experience — or their favorite place — without breaking the bank,” NYC & Company CEO George Fertitta said in a statement.

Popular eateries returning to this summer's Restaurant Week include Blue Water Grill, The Carlyle Restaurant, Cipriani Wall Street, Fig & Olive, Gramercy Terrace and Tribeca Grill.

David Burke Townhouse on the Upper East Side will offer a pastrami salmon appetizer and a chilled Maine lobster salad entrée, topped off with a passion fruit trifle. At Cipriani Wall Street, diners will be able to sample imported buffalo mozzarella with cherry tomatoes and basil, veal cheeks in gremolata with rice pilaf, and a vanilla crème meringue. The full list of participating restaurants with their menus is available here.

Restaurant week also offers benefits for American Express members: For every $25 spent at a participating restaurant, cardholders receive a $5 credit on their statement.
