CARROLL GARDENS — The chefs of critically acclaimed Smith Street eatery Battersby are bringing a new restaurant to the neighborhood.

Walker Stern and Joseph Ogrodnek will be opening their restaurant at the former location of Vinzee’s Magic Fountain, a shuttered burger joint, on Court Street in Carroll Gardens.

The restaurant’s liquor license application was approved by Community Board 6 on Monday, said Stern, who added they had not yet settled on a menu for the restaurant.

The duo opened Battersby at 255 Smith St., in 2011 which serves New American cuisine.

The new 2800-square-foot property at 412 Court St., seats about 75 with an additional 600 square-feet of outdoor space, a complete kitchen, walk-in refrigerator and freezer and an array of cooking equipment, according to a Douglas Elliman listing.

Stern could not comment on when construction would begin on the space.

Last month, Eater NY reported that Battersby might be moving south to the Carroll Gardens location.
