MANHATTAN — Big band, country and jazz acts will heat up an outdoor concert series in Stuyvesant Cove Park this summer.
The free concerts will start on July 1 and will run every Monday evening through Aug. 12. Headliners include jazz singer Brianna Thomas, who has performed at Lincoln Center and won the 2009 Jazzmobile vocal competition. She will take the stage on July 29.
The John Walsh Salsa Experience will kick off the performances with a night of Latin music next Monday, and singer-songwriters Paul Sachs & Carolann Solebello will close out the series in August.
All the concerts will take place on the stage at Solar 1, along the East River between 22nd and 23rd streets. The start times of the concerts vary, so check Stuyvesant Cove Park's website for details.
