THE BRONX — A man miraculously survived a leap from a third-floor window while trying to escape three armed men who had broken into a Van Nest apartment Monday night, police sources said.

The 29-year-old man plunged to the sidewalk while trying to break free from the robbers inside the apartment on Hunt Avenue near Morris Park Avenue about 9:27 p.m., police sources and officials said. He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and was expected to survive, though the building’s super said his legs appeared to be broken.

“He came down like a cat, then all of a sudden turned and landed on the side of his face,” said the super, who declined to give her name.

The suspects made off with two flat-screen TVs, an Xbox and a bunch of clothing, said a roommate, 26, who was not at home at the time of the robbery.

The hospitalized man tussled with the crooks and chucked a gun out the window, according to the roommate, who visited his pal at the hospital.

"He's bad but going to be fine," the roommate said.
