MANHATTAN — The N, Q, R Broadway lines will be shut down during overnight hours in Manhattan this week for maintenance work and repairs, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

The trains will not run between 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. from Monday through early Friday morning, the MTA said.

The N train will continue to operate in Brooklyn and Queens during the work hours. Q trains will run in Brooklyn, but will be rerouted over the D line in Manhattan from the 57th Street F station.

R service will not run in Manhattan or Queens next week.

For service between Manhattan and Queens, riders can use the 7 line.

The work is part of the MTA's FASTRACK work to inspect and repair tracks, replace tunnel light bulbs, clean stations and service closed circuit television equipment.

The next line to be affected will be the D line north of 161st Street. The maintenance is scheduled to begin July 15, the MTA said.
