NEW YORK — Trains on 10 subway lines will be hampered by service changes this weekend, compounded by a series of weekend events including the Puerto Rican Day Parade and other festivals, the MTA said.
The 2, 5, 6, A, C, E, F, G, M, N and R trains will have modified service. Notably, E trains will run via the F line between 36th Street in Queens and the Second Avenue F station.

2 Train
From 3:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, the 2 line will operate in two sections due to track-panel installation taking place north of Gun Hill Road. One section will run between Flatbush Avenue and East 180th Street, rerouted to Dyre Avenue at East 180th; the other will run between East 180th Street and 241st Street.
5 Train
From 3:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, 5 train service will be suspended due to track-panel installation north of Gun Hill Road. For service between Dyre Avenue and 149th Street-Grand Concourse, the MTA suggests that riders take the 2 train, which will operate between Dyre Avenue and Flatbush Avenue. For service between 149th Street-Grand Concourse and Bowling Green, riders should take the 4 train instead.
6 Train
From noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, 116th Street station will be exit-only due to the 116th Street Festival. Customers will not be allowed to enter the station to prevent overcrowding on platforms and stairways. For Manhattan or Bronx-bound service, riders should use the 110th or 125th Street stations, the MTA said.
In addition, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 77th Street station will be exit-only due to the Puerto Rican Day Parade. For uptown or downtown service, riders should use 68th or 86th Street stations instead.
A Train
From 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday, 207th Street-bound A trains will be rerouted via the F line from Jay Street-MetroTech to West Fourth Street, then run local to 59th Street-Columbus Circle due to cable work north of Jay Street-MetroTech.
Also, from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Saturday, and from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday, Queens-bound A trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Canal Street due to track tie-block renewal north of Spring Street.
C Train
From 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Brooklyn-bound C trains will run express from 59th Street-Columbus Circle to Canal Street due to track tie-block renewal north of Spring Street.
Also, from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, 168th Street-bound C trains will be rerouted via the F line from Jay Street-MetroTech to West Fourth Street due to cable work north of Jay Street-MetroTech.
E Train
From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday, E trains will be rerouted via the F line in both directions after 36th Street in Queens to Second Avenue. Trains will make stops at F stations, originating and terminating at the Second Avenue F station.
Free shuttle buses will run between Court Square-23rd Street and 21st Street-Queensbridge, making a stop at Queens Plaza.
Customers can make transfers between E and 7 trains at 74th Street-Roosevelt Avenue, or between 7, A and C trains at Times Square-42nd Street.
Also, from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday, Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run local from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue due to track repairs at Elmhurst Avenue.
F Train
From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday, Jamaica-bound F trains will run local from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue due to track repairs at Elmhurst Avenue.
G Train
From 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday, G trains will run only every 20 minutes between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues due to asbestos abatement north of Nassau Avenue. Court Square-bound G trains will terminate at Bedford-Norstrand at all other times.
M Train
At all times through late August, M trains will bypass Central Avenue in both directions due to station rehabilitation work.
N Train
From 11:30 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Saturday, and from 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday, Queens-bound N trains will be rerouted via the Q line from DeKalb Avenue to Canal Street due to station painting and asbestos abatement in the Montague tube.
Also, from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Sunday, Queens-bound N trains will be rerouted via the D line from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue to 36th Street in Brooklyn due to panel work south of Eighth Avenue.
R Train
From 6:30 a.m. to midnight Saturday, Queens-bound R trains will be rerouted via the Q line from DeKalb Avenue to Canal Street due to station painting and asbestos abatement in the Montague tube. There will be no Queens-bound N or R trains at Jay Street-MetroTech, Court Street, Whitehall Street, Rector Street, Cortland Street or City Hall. Customers can instead use the 4 Train at nearby stations, the MTA said.
