BROOKLYN — A 60-year-old man shot in the head at point-blank range outside a Prospect-Lefferts Gardens deli has died more than two months after the shooting, authorities said.
Samuel Waterman, of Flatbush Avenue, was pronounced dead on Friday, after he was shot outside 43 Lincoln Road on March 15, the NYPD said.
The alleged triggerman, Aamir Price, 21, also of Flatbush Avenue, was originally arrested and charged with attempted murder on March 19, police added.
Price and three other friends allegedly followed Waterman up to the deli's window, where the victim bought something and began to walk away.
Price and his alleged co-defendants followed him and shot him in the head before fleeing, police said.
The district attorney’s office will re-present the case to a grand jury this week after the medical examiner ruled the death a homicide on Sunday, the NYPD said.
