NEW YORK CITY — Wigged-out starlet Amanda Bynes plans to sue the NYPD after cops arrested the allegedly doped-up actress Thursday night on charges she threw a bong out of her Midtown high-rise apartment.
In a rambling tweet posted Monday, Bynes wrote that she will sue the NYPD "for illegally entering my apartment, lying about drugs on me and lying about me tampering with non existent drug paraphernalia."
The 27-year-old actress added: "Then I'm suing for being put into a mental hospital against my will, then locked up overnight for coming home after a facial and working out with my trainer like the good girl that I am."
Cops came to The Biltmore, a luxury apartment of West 47th Street, about 7 p.m. Friday after a building employee caught Bynes smoking marijuana in the lobby, cops said.
When officers went up to her apartment on the 36th floor, she snatched up a bong and tossed it out the window, according to cops.
Bynes appeared in court on Friday and was charged with reckless endangerment, attempted tampering of physical evidence and unlawful possession of marijuana, and was taken to the hospital for a psych evaluation.
Since then, the actress, who has become increasingly erratic in recent months, took to Twitter to defend herself, claiming that cops sexually harassed her and used the arrest as a cover-up. The NYPD's Internal Affairs Bureau is investigating the case, according to a department spokeswoman.
In her tweet on Monday, Bynes also claimed that she planned to sue The Biltmore for "lying about me smoking in my building."
Overall, Bynes, who rose to fame as a cast member on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show "All That" in the '90s, seemed positive about her future career.
"Look forward to seeing me in music videos! I'm getting in shape and getting a nose job!," she wrote.
"I'm looking forward to a long and wonderful career as a singer/rapper!"
