BROOKLYN — Cops have identified the man suspected of raping a 26-year-old woman at gunpoint in Lincoln Terrace Park almost one year ago, according to the NYPD.
Damien Hollis, 21, attacked the victim some time after 3 a.m. May 29, 2012, police said. He approached her at a bus stop at East New York and Ralph avenues, pulled a gun, and forced her to walk to the park about a block away from the bus stop, police said.
After the attack, Hollis took the woman's cell phone and fled, cops said.
The victim was treated at a local hospital, police said.
Now cops are asking for the public's help in tracking him down. Police described Hollis as about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts or the attack is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477). Members of the public can also submit tips through the Crime Stoppers website, or by texting tips to CRIMES (274637), then entering TIP577.
