14 Train Lines Disrupted by Weekend Subway Maintenance

NEW YORK CITY — Subway work will disrupt 14 lines this weekend.

Construction and renovations will impact service for the 1, 4, 6, A, C, D, E, F, G, J, M, N, Q and Brooklyn Shuttle, the MTA said. The MTA will be working to upgrade tracks and signals and make repairs to stations.

Here's how the changes will affect each line:

1 train — Downtown trains will skip 238th Street from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday while the station's staircase is repaired.

4 train — Uptown trains will run express from Union Square to Grand Central Terminal from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Saturday and from 11: 45 p.m. Saturday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and then 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Downtown 4 trains will run express between 125th Street and Grand Central during the same times.

6 train — Uptown 6 trains will also run express from Union Square to Grand Central from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Downtown 6 trains will run express from 125th Street to Grand Central from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Downtown 6 trains will also run express from Parkchester to Hunts Point Avenue from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

A train — There will be no A train service between 168th Street and 207th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Shuttle buses will make stops at 175th, 181st, 190th and Dyckman Street.

Manhattan-bound A trains in Brooklyn will run express from Euclid Avenue to Broadway Junction.

C train — Trains will not run between 145th and 168th streets from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. A trains will run local between those stations.

Uptown C trains will also run express from Canal Street to 59th Street and in Brooklyn from Euclid Avenue to Broadway Junction during the same times. 

D train — There will be no D train service from Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue to Bay Parkway from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

N train — N trains will also not run between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and 86th Street from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

E train — Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run local from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

F train — Jamaica-bound F trains will run over the A line from Jay Street-Metro Tech to West 4th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-bound F trains will also run local from Roosevelt Avenue to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:30 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Brooklyn-bound F trains will skip 4th Avenue-9th Street, 15th Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

G train — Church Street-bound G trains will skip 4th Avenue, 15th Street-Prospect Park and Fort Hamilton Parkway from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

The last stop for some Queens-bound G trains will be Bedford-Nostrand from 5 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Trains will run every 20 minutes during this time.

J train — There will be no J train service between Crescent Street and Jamaica Center from 5:30 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday. J trains will run between Crescent Street and Chambers Street. Shuttle buses operate between Crescent Street and 121st Street and connect with the E at Jamaica-Van Wyck.

M train — M train service will be suspended between Fresh Pond Road and Central Avenue from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Shuttle buses will run between Metropolitan and Myrtle avenues.

Q train — Manhattan-bound Q trains will run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park from 10:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

S train — Franklin Avenue Shuttle service will be suspended from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
