QUEENS — Police are searching for an unusually dexterous suspect in a string of rooftop break-ins in Queens, the NYPD said.

Nothing was stolen in any of the break-ins, but the suspect often entered through the roof or skylight of the establishment, police said.

On March 29 about 8 p.m., the suspect unsuccessfully tried to slip into Exit One Realty, 91-06 63rd Drive, through the roof, police said. He failed but damaged the roof in the process.

Later that same night, the suspect successfully broke into the adjacent East Star Medical Center, 91-10 63rd Drive, also using the roof, police said.

Then, on March 30, the suspect got in through the skylight of Shalimar Diner, 63-38 Austin St., police said. He tried but failed to get into the restaurant's cash register, police said.

In an earlier incident, on March 27 about 7:30 a.m., the suspect tried to break into a medical center at 91-10A 63rd Drive, through the front door and vestibule, police said.

Police described the suspect as a man in his 20s, about 5-foot-8. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap and a white jacket with a logo on the back, police said.
