JACKSON HEIGHTS — A man was hit and killed by an F train at the Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Heights station Wednesday morning, FDNY and MTA officials said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was hit by the Manhattan-bound train just after 11 a.m., officials said. Sources said he jumped onto the tracks.
Trains were temporarily re-routed Wednesday following the incident, including the E, F, and R trains which were running local between Queens Plaza and 71st Avenue-Forest Hills in both directions. The trains were bypassing the Roosevelt Avenue-Jackson Hts station. Train service was restored by 12:19 p.m., officials said.
