NORWOOD — One person died after a blaze tore through the fifth floor of a Bainbridge Avenue apartment building Friday morning, according to the FDNY.
Firefighters found the unidentified victim at 7:26 a.m. when they arrived at 2977 Bainbridge Ave., a fire spokesman said.
The inferno was contained to the fifth floor of the six-story building, but firefighters were still battling it about 30 minutes later, the spokesman said.
No other injuries had been reported.
