PLEASANT PLAINS — Police are hunting a man suspected of robbing three delis and a liquor store in the last month in Pleasant Plains.

The suspect hit the four stores, most on Amboy Road in Pleasant Plains, showed a black firearm and demanded money, police said.

Each time, police said he fled with unspecified items and no injuries were sustained.

The first robbery took place on Jan. 16, when the suspect allegedly entered Citi Bagels, at 6372 Amboy Road at 7 p.m., police said. He then hit nearby Amboy Wines & Liquors, at 6390 Amboy Road, five days later.

On Feb. 1, police said the man entered Barclay Bagels, at 4844 Hylan Boulevard, demanding money and Lottery proceeds.

On Feb. 5, the man entered Midfield Deli, at 6378 Amboy Road, and demanded money from the register, police said.

He's described as between 150 and 180 pounds, and between 5-foot-7' and 6-foot-1. In each robbery, the man wore a hooded sweatshirt, baseball hat, mask and gloves, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
