CHINATOWN — An elderly woman trying to cross a Chinatown street was struck by a car early Wednesday, police said.

The victim, believed to be in her 60s, was trying to cross Bowery at Bayard Street when a northbound Honda Odyssey struck her about 6:30 a.m., cops said.

The woman, whose identity was not immediately released, was taken to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she's expected to recover from her injuries, police said.

The driver of the Honda remained on the scene and police don't suspect any criminality.

The accident comes a day after another elderly woman was struck and killed in a Theatre District hit-and-run.

Shu Ying Liu, 69, was crossing West 41st Street when a dump truck rounded off Ninth Avenue and slammed into her before speeding off. Liu died at the hospital a short while later and the driver was arrested.
