TIMES SQUARE & THEATRE DISTRICT — A New Jersey man has been charged with ramming into a 69-year-old woman and leaving her for dead in a Midtown intersection Tuesday morning, the NYPD said.

Jack Montelbano, of Bayonne, was driving his dump truck north on Ninth Avenue when he turned right onto West 41st Street and struck Shu Ying Liu about 10 a.m., police said.

Montelbano, 47, fled the scene, leaving Liu lying in the street, cops said.

Liu was rushed to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in cardiac arrest and later died, officials said.

"I saw her on the ground," said Mohammad Hossai, who works at a nearby pizza parlor. "She was on her right side. Her eyes were closed. She was bleeding from the left side of her face."

Montelbano has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, cops said.
