Thieves Stole $80,000 in Jewelry From Corona Shop, Police Say

CORONA — Police are looking for three men they said stole $80,000 worth of jewelry from a Corona shop in December.

Two of the suspects, armed and masked, entered Elegance Jewelry Store at 37-56 Junction Boulevard about 2 p.m. Dec. 19, police said.

They waved a gun, forced workers into the back of the store, smashed display counters, grabbed the jewels and fled, police said.

The third suspect acted as a lookout outside the store, police said.

Police described all three men as being 25 to 30 years old. The lookout was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black waist-length coat a light-colored hat and glasses. One of the other suspects was last seen wearing blue jeans, a brown waist-length blazer, a beige hat and brown shoes, while the other wore a black leather jacket, black pants, and a black hat with a “Mitchell and Ness” logo, according to police.
