BUSHWICK — A 38-year-old bicyclist was struck and critically injured by a car on Central Avenue early Monday that later fled the scene, police said.

The apparent hit-and-run happened just before 4 a.m. as the victim was riding east on George Street, according to NYPD. That's when a silver sedan blasted into him as he was crossing Central Avenue, police said.

The unidentified man sustained a severe head injury and was unconscious when paramedics rushed him to Kings County Hospital Center, an FDNY spokesman said.

The car fled the scene and no arrests have been made, cops said.
