EAST NEW YORK — A person was struck by a Lefferts Avenue-bound A train and killed Friday morning at the Shepard Avenue station in Brooklyn, FDNY officials said.

Paramedics found the person under the train between the Pitkin and Shepherd avenues stations about 11 a.m., officials said.

The person, who has not been identified, was declared dead at the scene, officials said.

The NYPD does not immediately suspect criminality in the incident.

The incident triggered service delays on two subway lines. The C train has been suspended while the A lines were running express between the Euclid Avenue and Broadway Junction stations, MTA officials said.
