CHELSEA — The facade of an Eighth Avenue building partially collapsed Monday night, exposing apartments on the top two floors of the building, as Hurricane Sandy tore through New York.
First responders rushed to 92 Eighth Ave. near 14th Street about 6:30 p.m. Monday and found that the four-story residential building's facade had fallen to the street, the FDNY and Office of Emergency Management said.
No one was hurt, the FDNY said, and no one was trapped in the building.
Officials were investigating.
