Police Seek Man Who Sexually Assaulted 11-Year-Old Girl in Queens

ELMHURST — Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl who was riding her bike in Queens earlier this month.

The victim was riding near Whitney Avenue and Broadway about 6:30 p.m. Oct. 1 when a man on a black mountain bike approached her and asked for help repairing his bicycle, police said.

The man then sexually assaulted the girl and fled, police said.

The girl was not hurt, police said.

Police described the suspect as a 35-to-45-year-old man, about 6-foot-2. His bike had a black seat with red stripes.
