Michael Jones, a British native who lived in West Harrison, NY, was lying on the sidewalk on West 14th Street near Fifth Avenue when cops found just before 4:30 a.m., police said.

Jones had knife wounds on his neck and chest, police said.

The slasher also cut off Jones’ ear, according to the New York Post.

Originally from Liverpool, England, Jones was visiting some friends in the Village before he was killed, the newspaper reported.

He had worked for the New York Red Bulls as a soccer coach for one of their youth programs for children.
