Liberty Ross's Revenge, Erin Wasson's Return and a Rapper's Rerun

By Lisa Marsh | September 9, 2012 11:18am

HELL'S KITCHEN — If looking good is the best revenge, then Liberty Ross has it sewn up.

The model and estranged wife to "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, better known for his off-screen exploits with Kristen Stewart, took to the catwalk in Alexander Wang's runway show on Pier 94 in Hell's Kitchen. Dressed in all white, the stunning 33-year-old worked the runway like the professional she once was. Now we know, Wang is solidly on Team Rob.

Also at Wang's show, model Erin Wasson, who walked Wang's runway for the first time since 2007 and Jennifer Aniston fiance Justin Theroux

Cheryl Tiegs is in the market. For what, she’s not sure, but she’s back in New York for the first time in many years. “Twenty years ago, I decided to move out to Los Angeles and have my baby,” she explained at the Herve Leger show at the tents at Lincoln Center. “Now he lives in New York, goes to NYU, and I was sitting in Los Angeles thinking what am I doing here?” The supermodel, who arrived in New York Friday from the Toronto Film Festival said, “I'm making the rounds.”

“Bridesmaids” star Rose Byrne had the privilege of juxtaposing one action-packed event (the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC) against another (New York’s Fashion Week). “It's really weird. It was not as chaotic there as it is here,” she said of Fashion Week. But she added at the Jill Stuart show at the tents, “I love to come — it's such a circus here.” Just don’t expect her to grace a catwalk anytime soon. “I don't think my legs are long enough,” she said. “I would probably fall over.”

In her host job at “Top Chef,” Padma Lakshmi has seen her fair share of tough-to-pronounce names and ingredients, but she’s never experienced anyone butchering her name like she did Saturday night. “Fashion News Live” host Rocco Leo Gaglioti just couldn’t get it right. “I think they sent him from the sports desk. He could not pronounce my my name,” Lakshmi laughed. “He pronounced my name every way but the right way,” with the favorite sounding like “Padma Lunchmeat.” She added, “That is some funny s@#*.”

On a more serious note, the former model is on the prowl for a dress to wear to the Emmys, she admitted at the Monique Lhuillier show at the tents in Lincoln Center. But it has to feel good, she noted. “It’s more important for me to feel good and feel comfortable in it. No matter how good you look in a dress, if you don’t feel good it’s going to show in your face,” she said, “at least it does on mine.”
