Police Seek Gunpoint Robber Who Struck on 6 Train in East Harlem

EAST HARLEM — Police are looking for a man who robbed a 6 train straphanger at gunpoint in East Harlem Wednesday morning.

The suspect pointed a gun at a 35-year-old man riding an uptown 6 train at 103rd Street about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday and demanded his wallet and cell phone, police said.

The suspect got the items and fled at the 110th Street stop, police said.

The victim was not injured.

Police described the suspect as 20-to-25-year-old man, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-9, 160 pounds, last seen wearing a black T-shirt and dark pants.
