BROOKLYN — A 28-year-old man was shot and killed outside a public housing complex in East New York early Friday, the NYPD reported.
The victim, who police identified Sunday as Dupree Gowins, was shot in the head and leg behind the Louis H. Pink Houses on 2630 Linden Blvd. just before 1:45 a.m., police said. Residents said they heard about five or six shots.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital, where he died, police said.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
