MANHATTAN — Police are investigating a report that a woman was raped in her West Village apartment early Wednesday morning.
A 28-year-old woman told cops that a man pushed his way into her apartment, reportedly on Cornelia Street, around 2:45 a.m. and sexually assaulted her, cops said.
A detailed description of the suspect, a stranger, was not immediately available, and police would not confirm where the incident occurred to protect the victim’s privacy.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
