CHELSEA — It's the most wonderful time of the year — for fashionistas.
The much-anticipated Barneys Warehouse Sale returns to Chelsea next Thursday, Aug. 23, giving stylish New Yorkers the chance to pick up classy clothes at relatively bargain-basement prices.
The fun kicks off at 8 a.m., but you'll need to get there much earlier if you want to snag the best deals. Previous sales have seen round-the-corner lines, not to mention tense crowds inside fighting over the last brand-name bags.
Things are a little different this year, however.
Since the start of August, intrepid shoppers have already been able to peruse some of the Warehouse Sale's selection online for the first time ever.
The online store replaced this year's Warehouse Sale in Los Angeles, though the show will go on in New York.
Right now, the site has daily deals of up to 80 percent off select items, though rumor has it the best deals will only be available in the sale's brick-and-mortar location at 255 W. 17th St.
Last year, Manhattan's pretty people picked up Lanvin patent leather heels for $319, leather bags for $75, and Loro Piana suits for half off at $600 — though the shop-a-palooza had to take a brief hiatus when Hurricane Irene swept over the city.
The Barneys Warehouse sale runs all day from Aug. 23 to Sept. 3.
