Cherry tomatoes, sometimes referred to as “nature’s candy,” are dark red bursts of flavor that have been shown to protect our hearts, and even our minds.
All tomatoes, large and small like these babies, are loaded with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds that help protect our bodies against various ailments such as prostate, pancreatic, lung, and breast cancer. And the almost unlimited amount of phytonutrients in this wonder fruit may help reduce LDL cholesterol, triglyceride levels, and prevent blood clots.
It doesn’t stop there; tomatoes have also been linked with the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. These disease-preventing jewels have earned the right on your plate to nourish your body, so give them the attention they deserve and make them the star of tonight’s dinner.
