FLATBUSH — A cyclist was critically injured when he was hit by a bus in Flatbush Monday afternoon, officials said.

The bike rider, in his 30s, was struck by a bus at the intersection of Foster and Flatbush avenues just before 2 p.m., the FDNY said.

The cyclist was riding westbound on Foster Street when the vehicle, a school bus traveling south on Flatbush Avenue, entered the intersection at the same time, according to a video from a surveillance camera at a Flatbush Avenue hardware store.

The video does not clearly show the accident but does show its aftermath, as the cyclist crumpled to the ground and the bus passed out of view.

The cyclist was rushed to Kings County Hospital in critical condition, fire officials said.
