BROOKLYN — A Brooklyn teenager and alleged gang member was fatally gunned-down near an East New York public housing complex just two blocks from his home Tuesday evening, the NYPD said.
Brandon Wigley, 19, was shot in the torso outside the Louis Heaton Pink Houses at 1211 Loring Ave. shortly before 6 p.m., police said.
He was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.
Wigley, who lived in the complex, had five prior arrests, including a gun charge, a police source said.
He had been shot and injured in two separate incidents, and he was an alleged member of the VCG gang.
Police were investigating whether Tuesday's shooting was gang-related.
