NEW YORK — Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth is out of the hospital and doing fine after being struck in the head by falling lighting equipment, according to her publicist.
Chenoweth was working on the set of the TV drama "The Good Wife" in Williamsburg near the intersection of North 6th Street and Kent Avenue on Wednesday, when a gust of wind caused a piece of lighting gear to fall and strike the actress, according to a statement from CBS.
She was taken to Bellevue Hospital, and was released on Thursday, according to her publicist.
"Kristin has been released from the hospital and is home recovering," the publicist, Jill Fritzo, said. "She thanks everyone for their prayers and well wishes."
Chenoweth, a Tony- and Emmy-award winning actress, recently landed a recurring role on "The Good Wife." She has also appeared on the Fox hit "Glee" and as Glinda the Good Witch in the original cast of "Wicked" on Broadway.
