BRONX — A man was killed and another shot during a robbery attempt at a suspected drug house in Parkchester early Friday, authorities said.

The unidentified 22-year-old was shot and stabbed to death during a struggle with the other victim, 23, while trying to rob the house at 1553 Unionport Road, the NYPD said.

The incident began shortly after 1 a.m., when the 22-year-old entered an apartment in the Parkchester Houses that is a known drug-dealing location and shot a 23-year-old, who was inside, a police source said.

"He was apparently trying to rob the location," the source noted.

The 23-year-old, who was struck in the leg by the gunfire, grabbed a knife and started stabbing the would-be robber in the chest, police said. He then snatched the 22-year-old's gun and shot him in the leg, police added.

Both men were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, police stated. The 22-year-old was pronounced dead, while the 23-year-old was in stable condition.

A firearm and marijuana paraphernalia were recovered at the scene, police said.

The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed.
