JACKSON HEIGHTS—A fire broke out this afternoon in the kitchen of a two-story home in Jackson Heights, leaving one person injured, authorities said.
The small blaze ignited in the kitchen at 33-22 81st St., near Northern Boulevard, just before noon.
One person was treated on the site, an FDNY said.
The fire was brought under control 20 minutes later.
