FLATBUSH — A man was struck by a car in Flatbush Monday morning on his way to meet his wife for breakfast, authorities and witnesses said.

The unidentified man was crossing Ditmas Avenue near Flatbush Avenue shortly before 8:30 a.m., after picking up breakfast sandwiches to bring to his wife, who was doing laundry nearby, police and the witnesses said.

That’s when a vehicle traveling west on Ditmas Avenue hit the man, witnesses said.

He suffered unknown injuries and was taken to Kings County Hospital, police said. No other information was immediately available.
