STATEN ISLAND — An NYPD lieutenant was busted early Friday for drunken driving and refusing to take a breath test, police said.
Timothy Harrington was driving in Tottenville about 3:45 a.m. when he was pulled over, police said.
Cops determined that Harrington was drunk at the wheel. He was then asked to take a Breathalyzer and declined, police said.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to take breath test, police said.
The NYPD did not provide more details about the incident.
The department also didn't release which precinct Harrington works for or how many years he's been on the job.
