BROOKLYN — Police say they have caught the hammer-wielding man suspected of raping one woman and attempting to rape another in Brooklyn earlier this week.

Anthony Moore, 19, of Cambria Heights, Queens, approached an 18-year-old woman in Bedford-Stuyvesant about 12:40 a.m. on April 9, police said.

He allegedly threatened to hit her with a hammer and demanded oral sex.

He then forced her into an alley, where he raped her and fled, police said.

Later that day the hammer-wielding Moore allegedly followed a 22-year-old into her apartment building on Stone Avenue in Brownsville and attempted to rape her, police said.  She was able to fend Moore off and he then fled, cops added.

Moore was arraigned Saturday in Brooklyn Criminal Court for rape, sexual abuse, unlawful imprisonment and other charges.  He was ordered held on $50,000 bail and returns to court  on April 26.
