MANHATTAN — It'll be big laughs, courtesy of Big Blue.
Super Bowl MVP and Giants quarterback Eli Manning is set to toss around one-liners instead of the pigskin as the host of "Saturday Night Live" next month.
The move for Manning, who led Big Blue to a thrilling win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI last February, was announced during a commercial break for the show Saturday night as well as on Twitter.
"Eli Manning will host Saturday Night Live on May 5th -- @Giantsfans will you tune in?" the team tweeted Sunday.
The May 5 show will be the first time hosting for Manning, who will appear alongside musical guest Rihanna.
But the quarterback has had a place in the show's lineup before, making a cameo when his big brother, Peyton Manning, hosted on March 24, 2007.
The elder Manning was picked up as quarterback for the Denver Broncos last month after leading the Indianapolis Colts to victory in Super Bowl XLI.
