By Wil Cruz | April 9, 2012 11:18am

QUEENS — A woman was critically injured when a fire broke out in an apartment building in Jamaica early Monday, fire officials said.

The blaze ignited about 1:15 a.m. on the second-floor of 109-33 202nd St., an FDNY spokesman said.

Some 60 firefighters battled the blaze before getting it under control about 30 minutes later, the spokesman said.

A woman in her 40s suffered critical injuries, the FDNY said. She was taken to Nassau County Medical Center, the spokesman said.

Another person and a firefighter were hurt, too, but their injuries were not considered life-threatening, the spokesman added.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
