QUEENS — A man was struck and injured by a train in Jackson Heights on Wednesday, officials said.

The unidentified victim was hit just before 1:30 p.m. by a southbound E train at the Roosevelt Avenue - Jackson Heights subway station, transit and fire officials said.

The man, who suffered head injuries, was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, officials said. His condition was not immediately known.

A spokeswoman for the MTA said Manhattan-bound E trains were bypassing the station.
