BROOKLYN — A man was struck by a train and killed in Carroll Gardens on Thursday, officials said.
The victim was hit by a Brooklyn-bound G train at the Carroll Street station near Smith Street about 12:20 p.m., transit and police officials said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, they added.
The condition of the man was not immediately known.
The MTA web site said the G and F trains were bypassing the Carroll St. station.
Kevin Ortiz, an MTA spokesman, said they were investigating.
Police said there appeared to be no criminality.
