BRONX — Two firefighters were injured while battling an early morning house fire Monday, FDNY officials said.
The blaze began in a room at 2047 Anthony Avenue in Mount Hope just after 3 a.m., fire officials said.
Some residents were evacuated from the two-story house, though it was unclear how many.
The fire was under control roughly 30 minutes after it started, officials said.
The two firefighters were taken to North Central Bronx Hospital, the spokesman said. Their injuries were not immediately known, but were not considered serious or life-threatening, the FDNY said.
No one else was injured.
