MANHATTAN — R&B singer Robin Thicke was reportedly arrested for marijuana possession in Gramercy Friday.
Police officers apprehended the award-winning singer-songwriter after they spotted him smoking a joint inside a Cadillac Escalade near the intersection of Third Avenue and East 21st Street, the Daily News reported.
“He wasn’t driving,” a police source told the paper. “He was sitting in the car. He was arrested, and a small amount of marijuana was recovered on him.”
Although Thicke was in the car with another unidentified person, the singer was the only one arrested on Friday, sources told the News.
Thicke — the son of Canadian actor Alan Thicke — performed on Thursday night at the 2012 Nomad’s Way Charity Gala at the New York Public Library. The event benefited The Alem Program, which supports talented youth in Kazakhstan.
