BROOKLYN — A police officer was arrested and charged with assault for hitting her young son with a belt Wednesday, authorities said.
The officer, Allison Timothy, 31, was arrested in Brooklyn for striking the 8-year-old child with a belt on Wednesday, the NYPD said.
Police did not say where the officer was assigned or where specifically the incident occurred.
Timothy is charged with second-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
