MANHATTAN — It's not even punny anymore.

Knicks phenom Jeremy Lin scored a career-high 38 points as New York beat Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers, 92-85, at Madison Square Garden Friday night.

The Knicks’ newfound sensation helped the team to their fourth-straight victory by putting on a dazzling display for the home crowd while upending Kobe and Co.

The Harvard grad has inspired “Lin-sanity” in the Big Apple and across the nation since coming off the bench and putting up all-star numbers while Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire are out.

Lin scored 25 points against the Nets last Saturday before dropping 28 on the Jazz and 23 against the Wizards to cap a wondrous week for the undrafted second-year player.

The Knicks had lost 11 of their previous 13 before Lin stepped in as a starter.

"I didn't try to see this game as any different," Lin told reporters after the game Friday. "I just try to make sure that when I get there on the floor, I play as hard as I can and try to do everything I can to help the team win."

The point guard, the first American of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA, added seven assists and two steals to his tally from Friday night — but remained humble amid the hype surrounding him.

"The only thing we established tonight is four in a row,” he told reporters. “Now we try to go for five tomorrow. I'm not too worried about proving anything to anybody. As a team we're growing and trying to build on the momentum.”
