JAMAICA — A city employee was arrested for bringing a 25-caliber firearm onto the E train Friday morning, police said.

Police searched Queens resident Javed Lescott, 31, for riding between subway cars at the Suthpin Boulevard-Archer Avenue stop and found the weapon.

Lescott, who works for the Department of Transportation, was taken into custody and is charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
