Man Struck by Vehicle and Critically Injured in Queens

QUEENS — A 65-year-old man was struck by a vehicle and critically injured Friday in Jackson Heights, officials said.

The victim, who has not been identified, was hit at 72nd St. and Broadway about noon, fire officials said.

He suffered injuries to his face, they said.

Paramedics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital where he was in critical condition, officials said.

Police did not immediately have any information about the incident, and it was unclear if the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
