WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Trains on the A line are running with delays thanks to a broken rail at 190th Street, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said Friday afternoon.

The rail broke at about 2:40 p.m. Friday, forcing the MTA to restrict subway traffic from the usual two tracks down to just one track, an MTA spokesman said.

A trains are still running in both directions, but are delayed between 175th Street and 207th Street, the spokesman said.
