MANHATTAN — "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" has become tangled in a complicated courthouse battle.

Producers of the troubled Broadway show have filed a countersuit against former director Julie Taymor, who was fired in March last year, according to the Daily News.

The countersuit claims she failed "to fulfill her contractual obligations," the News said.

They include working with other production team members on changes to the show, the newspaper said.

Taymor filed a suit in Manhattan Federal Court last year claiming producers stole her creative work without paying compensation.
