MANHATTAN — Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s girlfriend didn’t seem to mind Hizzoner’s liplock with Lady Gaga during the city’s New Year’s Eve bash in Times Square.
The New York Observer caught up with Taylor at a press conference after the governor’s State of the State address in Albany and asked whether the mayor got her OK for the kiss with the "Poker Face" singer.
“He always asks for forgiveness, never permission,” Taylor joked to the paper, walking away before the reporter was able to asked whether she did indeed forgive him for the headline-grabbing smooch.
Of course Bloomberg did his best to stay out of the doghouse, insisting Tuesday that his girlfriend’s post-midnight kiss was even better than the superstar pop sensation’s.
"The best kiss of the night came after that, from Diana — just so that I can get through tonight,” he joked to reporters at a press conference Tuesday, where he nonetheless seemed smitten by the hometown pop princess.
“Lady Gaga is very charming,” he gushed.
Taylor was also graced with a kiss by Gaga after the glittering ball dropped to ring in the new year.
